Doctor Tyler

Ripon has been the only home that I can remember. As I was growing up here, I developed a love for the community and the values that set it apart from most other cities in California. While attending Ripon Christian School, I was given an assignment in which I was asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” A typical grade school question. My only answer then, as now, was ‘An Eye Doctor’ (just like my dad!)

After an excellent undergraduate experience at Azusa Pacific University, I began applying to Optometry Schools around the nation. Meanwhile, I took a position at the Chem Lab at Delicato Vineyards. I was thrilled when I was accepted to the Southern California College of Optometry. It proved to be a marvelous fit and four years later I received my Doctor of Optometry degree.

Shortly after graduation, I married my lovely fiancée, Anna, a fourth grade teacher at RC Schools. She had been waiting patiently here in Ripon for me to complete my schooling. After our honeymoon, I began practicing Optometry with my father, Dr. Duane Kirk. We have a lot to offer each other and this community. He shares the wisdom he has gained through experience in the practice of Optometry, and I share with him my recently acquired knowledge in the Optometric field.

I look forward to living and working here in Ripon, and serving the residents as an Optometrist, a neighbor and a productive member of the community.
