How did I get here?
I’ve been working at Almond Blossom Optometry since May of 2008. My position with a previous employer was outsourced, so I was thinking about where I might like to work and this office came to mind. I had always enjoyed coming in for my appointments over the years because the ladies were so friendly, as was Dr. Kirk. I submitted an application at the same time that a position unexpectedly opened up. I’m happy to be working with a wonderful team who inspire and support me.
I’m privileged to have been raised in a terrific Christian home with six sisters and only one brother! Rick has been my wonderful ‘hubby’ since 1974. We have four children and a growing number of grandkiddos. Being “Granny” is so much fun!
Spending time with family is a favorite activity. We have lived in Ripon since 1998, transplanted from Southern California. Though my favorite place to be in on a beach on the California coast, we are quite happy living in the ‘Almond Capital of the World’. A favorite motto is: Choose Joy Today!
Debbie has been a quick learner of optometric assisting, as well as frame repair, frame selection and lab ordering. She has been a true asset to our staff, filling in where needed. Her genuine care and concern for our patients is exemplary. We are lucky to have her.
