Reopening with a reduced schedule

Posted 5/2/2020

It has been a while since you have been able to hear from us, as we have been temporarily closed due to Covid-19 for six weeks now. The restrictions are slowly being lifted for businesses and we have been given the green light for resuming non-essential eyecare. We wanted to inform you of what the “new normal” will look like in our office during Phase I.

We will start out on May 11, 2020 with a reduced patient schedule in order to keep the number of people to a minimum in the office and all visits will be by appointment only. For the safety of our staff and other patients, it will be required that all patients wear masks when they come into the building. Please bring your own masks, if possible. We will provide a mask to anyone who does not have one.

There will be social distancing in the waiting room and removal of “high touch” items such as toys, books, and magazines. We will have increased cleaning and sterilizing procedures in place for our staff to ensure minimized exposure. There will be hand sanitizer at numerous locations and patients are encouraged to use it. California regulations for this first phase recommend temperature checks when entering our clinic, so this will be done upon entry. We are sorry for this inconvenience, but this is not our decision, it is a mandate.

We look forward to seeing you at our office again soon. After we are back at the office on May 11th, please call anytime you wish to visit our office for an exam, delivery, adjustment, or repair. We are not allowing “walk-ins” as we wish to manage the number of people in our wait area and to have staff available when needed.

Sincerely,
Doctor Tyler and Doctor Duane
